Rootstocks
The sandy soil in the Dutch province of Brabant guarantees that the rootstocks develop good root systems.
A good root system is the basis for the growth of the rootstock after it has been planted out in the nursery. There are hardly any places where root systems develop as well as in the light soil in the south of the Netherlands.
We use a mixture of sawdust, garden peat and compost to promote the development of the root system in the stoolbeds. Based on our years of experience, we have found the ideal mix for our conditions to allow the root system of the rootstocks to develop optimally.
Fruit tree nursery van Montfort grades and cools the rootstocks itself. This allows fruit tree nursery van Montfort to respond immediately to the wishes of the buyers concerning the grading.
