The company started as a mixed farm founded by Mr Gust van Montfort in 1940. In 1970, his son Frits took over the farm. Under Frits, the tree nursery grew in size and importance and eventually the company became dedicated to the production of fruit trees and rootstocks.

Since 2003, the 3rd generation has been at the helm. In the person of Guus van Montfort, the nursery has an ambitious young entrepreneur who considers innovation and mechanisation to be extremely important. In part due to advances in these areas, the nursery can offer high-quality products at competitive prices.
